Beyond just keeping your phone number, the Bourbon Protocol also supports using DNS/ENS and wallet address as additional public identifiers. We are building for the future. 🚀
Most of our adoption will come from MNO/MVNOs that use the Bourbon Protocol as the default for new mobile plans as well as an upgrade for existing mobile plans.🥃
wrt scalability, most voice and video calls will be peer-to-peer, setup using SIP/WebRTC over the encrypted messaging layer. Operators that run Bourbon Protocol relays will handle TURN traffic as well as messaging. Traditional telcos as well as new providers will deploy these relays around the world, earning as a result. We will say more on the encrypted messaging in the coming weeks.👀
