A couple thoughts on airdrop-gate: 1) I don’t think selling airdrops is inherently bad. But personally when I receive an airdrop, especially from a builder in my network, I like to support by holding + trying the app at least. 2) Farcaster started doing airdrops like, 60 days ago? So those who have gotten themselves on the “seller’s list” didn’t just sell, they insta-sold, several times. 3) App-makers are just humans dealing with a finite amount of tokens & an infinite amount of targets, & therefore are going to tick whichever boxes they think will help qualify the best target demo. 4) For most mini apps, the path to sustainability is attracting users who will transact in your app. If you’re insta-selling every $7 airdrop you receive, you are not sending a message to devs that you are likely to be a power user who has money to spend/trade/tip in an app. 5) You can lament the results all you want, but this is a very clear-cut case of “show me the incentive & I’ll show you the outcome.”

I think if you feel strongly about holding airdrops you should. I also think that everyone should be allowed to make their own decision without some of the negativity and judgment thrown their way. Anyones reason to do what they feel they should is peltny good imo. 🤷🏽‍♂️
