tao is a financial intelligence layer which will be made popular through the AI x crypto meme. through this, tao resonates with both left curve apes and right curve gigabrains. this will play out in the future.

what I like about it: 

creating a subnet is like opening a shop in a busy bazaar. you don’t own the raw materials or labor yet. you attract investors (stakers) by selling them a crazy idea and let them vote for you with money, boosting your share of daily sales.

then you hire workers (miners) who bring their own tools and skills (compute) because you can pay them from your sales.

ideally, get a huge feedback loop between those two, scale immensely fast, compete with "real" companies

think its in theory a cool mechanism to drive AI forward... so no way I am going to fade it. especially since there are so few AI investment opportunities for normies. only one subnet has to make it.

the tech is hard to understand and many ppl interprete it very differently (which is the meme but also the giga opportunity. it really reminds me of early bitcoin)

it's basically a cool reward mechanism innovation more than anything else (hint hint, like bitcoin)

every day, a fixed amount of $TAO (the network’s currency) is given out as prizes.

the projects that do the most useful AI work, as judged by other participants and by how much people are willing to stake on them, win a larger share of those $TAO rewards

$TAO rewards go to the miners and validators running the subnet (which are often the subnet owners, so the teams themselves) 

staking = “voting with your money” for the AI you think is best. the more people back a project, the more rewards it can get. if you stake you receive optionally receive their subnet token, the classic shitcoin: can represent claims on future emissions, AI service access, profit share, or governance rights, ...

in theory, this creates an economy that pays people to make better and better AI. in theory. wearestillearly. believeinsomething.
