"Sustainability" and "survival/autonomy" constitute two distinct problem domains. Some discussions ostensibly framed around sustainability are, at their core, grappling with issues within the "survival/autonomy" domain. This narrative of sustainable development often serves to obscure significant conceptual ambiguities within its constituent elements. It is likely that the next cycle will demand a much clearer delineation between these problem spaces. While performance metrics can be manipulated, the underlying structural reality does not lie. It might even be argued that R&D directed solely towards 'sustainability' as currently conceived is a pseudo-endeavor; is the true problem domain fundamentally about whether an entity or system can survive and operate independently? Increasing evidence suggests this is not the case, and perhaps a state of dependency or integration into larger systems represents the ultimate equilibrium for this cycle. cont' (1/2)

Analogously, the sporadic transatlantic explorations during the Renaissance were largely met with skepticism. The historical trajectory had not yet matured to support them; venturing to the Americas at that juncture primarily sought simple accumulation like gold and silver, ultimately triggering widespread inflation that imposed costs on the entire society. The path of historical development was not yet aligned, and genuine sustainable industry progress necessitates achieving widespread mass adoption and a collective global forward movement. Therefore, the strategic focus should perhaps shift towards addressing fundamental real-world economic problems: the issues of currency , equality, and the redefined role of human activity, such as C' - Variant Consumption in the cyberealism growth model.
