Stop loss is a preset exit when price drops below your threshold. It helps protect downside and avoid emotional exits. as part of dogfooding @baseedge we keep running trades on the system to test the system and become better at using it too. On May 29, I entered $QR at $0.000019. Today, price dropped 10%, triggered stop loss, and I exited. Good right? Downside protected. Here is the catch though. A few hours later, it rebounded to entry levels. Illustrates the point of how just having the right tools isn't enough. having the right configuration is what makes them work. 4/5 If you were early and got in in the first hour or two. both conservative and the moonshot approach gave you good returns. the moonshot much more as it has exits set at a much higher level. if you got in somewhere in hour 4 or 5 in the middle of the ramp up, you still made decent returns. the interesting thing is if you got in the last hour as price ramped up, you would have ended up making more with the conservative approach as it takes profits sooner. also, the trailing stop loss acts as a control where when the price trend reversed, it sold the gains and got out of the position.

gm frens 🔆 last 2 weeks were a whirlwind. spent days and nights coding for Base Batch Buildathon and searching for our cat. Happy to share was able to ship something cool for the buildathon and bring back our cat home.

Our goal is to take the grunt work out of trading and make it simpler, faster, and better on Base. We’re starting with a Trade Simulator that shows how your past trades could’ve played out with these tools in place. We're submitting under the Showcase track. (more updates soon)
