This is the lung scan of my 33year old patient after 3 years of vaping. What you see is "Popcorn Lung" (Bronchiolitis Obliterans) a severe, irreversible lung disease.This condition was first documented in workers at microwave popcorn factories who inhaled diacetyl,a chemical used in butter flavoring. Research from Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health found this same dangerous chemical in over 75% of tested flavored e-cigarettes.The study was published in Environmental Health Perspectives,a peer-reviewed journal.
