The same country whose president, Trump, imposed years of sanctions on us blocking access to all international platforms and exchanges like Coinbase. The same Trump who banned Iranians from entering the U.S. because of nuclear energy. Now, he has destroyed all of Iran’s nuclear sites, and the very next day, made a ceasefire with the regime that has left the Iranian people suffering under harsh U.S. sanctions for years. Yet, as an Iranian, I still cannot enjoy the basic rights and opportunities that an ordinary person elsewhere would have in my professional life.

If you can't participate, I don't think it's because you're in Iran. Most likely, it's a shadow ban—I've never heard about regional restrictions for participation.  
Look at Coinbase—it doesn't work in Russia either, just like tons of other services. In fact, we might have even more blocks here than in Iran.
