I’m here to contribute to /tipn without any backing or support from anyone (since the initial launch). I use the official @tipn contract — there’s no scam involved; all data is pulled directly from the official contract. When I built the bot, I wasn’t aware that you were also working on something like tipnbot. I only saw your cast with @downshift.eth after my bot had already launched. I’ve also apologized to him for unintentionally getting ahead of him and your team (though I haven’t received a reply yet). I was also planning to shut the bot down anyway, since the account has been hit with spam and feels kind of useless now. I intend to stop it tomorrow once my Neynar subscription expires.

Why did I launch a token? Because I saw that many people liked and appreciated @tipnagent — not from the /tipn team, but from the community. So I changed my mind and decided to continue the project by creating a token with utility, especially after I saw someone on Clanker using the name “tipnagent” to launch a token. That was disrespectful!

no apology needed! we are both permissionlessly collaborating on an open project using public data 🫡 the difference i see is that i already had built a reputation for building a reliable and trustworthy tip bot from my days running an (unofficial) bot for $degen last year, and some folks may have thought your bot came out of the blue (good job on making it 👏) you have nothing but my encouragement. i'm certain our implementations will differ in some ways, and that users will form their own preferences; i encourage every $tipn tipper to make up their own mind about which bot to rely on (or both) if i had a $tipn allowance, i'd send you a tip (i won't have one until Tuesday reset) 🙇🏻

Yeah @tricil.eth literally just vouched for the bot and also when I saw the bot tagged to a legit builder like you I DM’d you right away (aka 20 mins ago lol) to reach out to make sure you knew too lol let alone actually built it I purposely didn’t tag your bot in my post because I just wasn’t aware of it Otherwise we def woulda shouted you out! We had our @tipepe bot go online a few days earlier before downshift permissionlessly created their own tipn bot lol

Since Downshift doesn't have any issue with the bot and actually gives you green light to go ahead you shouldn't shelf the project It looks promising And for the people saying shit here just Quote cast Downshift !!
