Hate the fact that i’m struggling to grow a beard.

Just let it go, you'll eventually get past the craziness and patches.  It's gotta get long enough and it'll cover the patches.

yes, once it finally fills in, you can do some trimming to make it look better.  you just gotta "deal with it" for a while, thats the worst part.
