Feeling very dumb for trying to read the cast top to bottom. I even tried left to right and then right to left and couldn't make sense of it.

hahahaha, it's left to right とよむ中城 (Toyomu Nakagusuku) stylized expression for Nakagusuku Village よしの浦 (Yoshino-ura) is name of a bay here さびやないさめ is Okinawan dialect, perhaps meaning "no sadness" or “don’t be lonely” or something like that
