Adding me 2c here Startups should focus and double down on what makes them unique. IMO, for Farcastar, this is likely going to be "content as code" People love being creative and love being seen. Being seen == large audience + meritocracy in the algo Being creative == tools that make creativity effortless Most social media platforms were born by being the place with the best "editor" for a new form of content that was previously harder First more basic: YouTube -> upload videos MySpace -> low-code websites Then next gen: Instagram -> best photo filters Twitter -> *micro* broadcasting Snapchat -> ephemeral content TikTok -> best short form video editor Where were people publishing short form videos before TikTok? They weren't. Great platforms *train* the next generation of creators by helping them to make a living By automating the boring parts (monetizing and distributing) sm platforms empower users to focus on what matters: creating

IMO, Farcaster should double down on the things it can uniquely enable. Namely Web3 properties like the Open Platform, User Generated Finance, and strong programmability, which are all pretty unique. Code as content. More miniapps with more interesting functionality. A rich feed where you can craft your own experience. A seamless mix of media and apps that you enjoy in public with your friends I don't know what it'll look like, but it's clear that AI will dramatically bring down the cost of crafting anything digital. Apps, video, text. Imagine 100x abundance from what we have now. What's left? Uniqueness, creativity. Curation and personalisation. Right now, miniapps have probably too much creative surface and not enough constraints. That's not good for mass market IMO I'm a bit concerned about monetization on farcaster. Ideally, it would have a built in revenue engine so it can redistribute income to creators. Farcaster doesn't. Clanker took its place.

You don’t need to be a genius or a star. Just give people the right tools and the space to create. The platforms that make it easy — win. Everyone wants to build something and be seen. Farcaster? Help people create fast and get noticed — and they’ll stick around. 😁
