At this point in time the tech just isn't there, and without wide adoption of zkp it will never get there. Currently in many scenarios, batching operations via backend is a lot more gas efficient.

Yeah, the ledger is just the first app. There’s a lower level, closer to the metal. The lack of understanding this has had very smart people consistently learning the wrong lessons.
