🪂Linea will it be a good or bad airdrop? I expose bullish and bearish characteristics of this airdrop, IMO. 🟢POSITIVE ASPECTS 1️⃣Very high funding: 725M (this is not the capital that will be distributed but it indicates enormous firepower for listing on any exchange). 2️⃣Consensys: this software company also manages Metamask (nothing more to add). 3️⃣Few eligible addresses (due to Proof Of Humanity, total addresses could be around 600k-700k similar to Arbitrum/Zksync). 4️⃣Market conditions: it's no secret that the team seems to be looking for bullish market conditions for altcoin. 🔴NEGATIVE ASPECTS 1️⃣Low TVL: 140M (Linea is 37th in TVL. Arbitrum and Base have between 2.5B-4B). 2️⃣Few active addresses: about 17k daily (1 year ago they were between 400k-800k. If the idea is to think long term, it could mean dividing airdrop into multiple rounds incentivizing users to stay, even if this model has already failed with Blast/Scroll).

3️⃣Uninteresting on-chain protocols (little interest and little organic traffic. It seems like a "disposable" chain designed only for quests, cash grabs and airdrops). 4️⃣Team greed (when quests with badges/NFT become too expensive and continuous over time it is a big red flag. "Send me 1 ETH and then I will send you 2" --> "Spend $300 of fee/mint and then I will give you 700 of airdrop". "Hey buddy, if you are honest, give me directly $400 ok?". Layer3 and Scroll say something?). 5️⃣The search for the best market conditions suggests that they would like a high price to dump their own token (there are many tricks that can be implemented to have further advantages over the community). 6️⃣Binance Hodler Airdrop (this is a serious plague for DeFi users because it seems that by now to be listed on Binance, the protocols must leave a lot of supply to BNB Holders).

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS LXP (with POH) is 1.8B, however XP from the LP should also be added (it will have a very different but not negligible "weight"). The three key factors: 1) LXP (Quests) 2) LXP (NFT testnet, snapshot October 23, 2024) 3) XP (LP) Watch out for any boosts: 🔹Activity on Ethereum mainnet. 🔹Holding of NFT/memecoins. 🔹Metamask swap/bridge/LP. 🔹Use of the chain after the quests. Usually XP do not have particular criteria (simple conversion of points into tokens with a certain ratio based on the total supply) but Linea being connected to Metamask could insert it. Finally two parameters to consider: 🔹possible minimum threshold on the LXP (which would make airdrop bigger for those who are eligible). 🔹minimum holding in ETH in the wallet (however it has often brought enormous criticism, see Starknet).
