🅰️⚽FIFA will launch its own layer1 (subnet) on Avalanche. The football body had already launched its own NFT collection on Algorand in 2022 (World Cup in Qatar) but will migrate to an EVM solution. Correct choice because non-EVM chains like Algorand, Flow and similar are not very liquid and have few users (dead chains).

If you want to be successful you have to build on EVM chains or on Solana. Even Sui and Aptos do not convince me for these initiatives, I see them as EOS, Tezos or EGLD Network in previous cycles.

The choice of Avalanche is curious. It is an institutional chain (like Algorand), the subnets are very functional but in terms of scalability there are less expensive EVM (even if the subnets do not saturate the Avalanche mainnet). FIFA should launch NFT, tickets and various merchandising.
