Thoughts on Crypto Exchange Hacks.

Not trying to become an oracle. Just watching the writing on the walls and very willing to change my perspective. 

For the past 20+yrs, web dev has been treated like a creative profession. It is technical, sure but when a site crashes or a bug slips through, the fallout rarely crosses into material real-world harm.

Even in cases of data breaches, the consequences => murky. Apologies. Maybe a fine. Then we all move on.

That’s about to change with crypto.

This will force a shift.

We’re watching software mature into a real-world industry. One where mistakes carry weight.

And where the cost of failure is no longer just technical. It’s material.

Software/Prompt engineers may need to certify, comply, and be held accountable, just like civil engineers are when a bridge collapses.
