I'm seeing two kinds of approaches in the web3 socials.
1. Let it run amok and introduce features later to lessen the damage (@friendtech, @DeBankDeFi stream)
2. Attempt to manufacture good vibe by enforcing stuff since the beginning (@farcaster_xyz ,@LensProtocol)

It's also no wonder that type 1 socials has degen users on them while type 2 socials are more rainbow and candy people (at least until I'm joining lol.)

However, type 2 is more presentable to investors and VC firms for fundraising. Hence probably why the approach

example for 1: debank stream recently introduced the distrust button to discourage bots.

Examples for 2: gating access from the wider public, require paying subscription when signing up, telling me I shouldn't post something in a certain channel lol
