I always recommend audiobooks to anyone looking to get their book count up. As someone who can’t sit still for long, I 50x’d the number of books I finish annually once I got on the audiobook train. I listen on walks, commuting, doing house chores, etc. Another hack is the Libby + Speechify combo: Borrow ebook on Libby > select Read with Kindle option > connect Kindle account to Speechify > listen/read simultaneously in Speechify Speechify allows for up to 4.5x listening speed (~900 wpm) and highlights the text being spoken.

Every year I go through my book collection. If I haven’t read a book in the past year+, have no realistic intention to read/reference in the foreseeable future, and/or if it doesn’t have a special sentimental value, I donate it to Goodwill. This year’s donation was hefty and a bittersweet departure.

This is why I love stand up comedy. Laughing to the point of tears a deeply human and cathartic experience. Reminds me of the quote to the effect of…”laughter, true laughter, is an involuntary act” I never felt what that meant until I saw Louis CK do a drop in set at the Comedy Cellar ahead of his 2016 tour.

This also applies to creating a gamified work environment for yourself (not just your employees). My ADHD brain responds super well to well-defined KPIs, quotas, and operating in domains that I can work toward mastery and/or optimization. The roles I've been most successful in had strong elements of gamification (be that internally created or externally imposed).
