My 14 year old niece just got back from Rock Camp where she learned Creep - we brought her onstage at the local open mic - my brother on guitar - I'm on keys and house drummer and singer - how cool is she! ;-p

Really interesting use of AI as music manager rather than creator - thought this was great - suspect @deshsax.eth @mattlee and a few others would find this of interest: https://substack.com/@musicben/p-167883434

The universe is pulling me into a Country groove - and I'm OK with it - this is the kind of writing that I always thought Country did brilliantly ;-p https://open.spotify.com/track/2y5C51WYViKvIo9i1mrczC?si=a31b0b62c0b64de4

Going through the musicto archives and remembering some of the playlists that never got rolling. Still love this image for music to Jam to - thinking that would be a good list to resurrect ;-p

"For these communities, hearing a generative model spit out a synthetic gospel track or an AI-generated country twang is not just an artistic affront, it can feel like outright blasphemy, proof that tech elites would rather manufacture culture than nurture it." https://musicx.substack.com/p/populists-vs-tech-titans-the-battle

Heh! I’m loving this process - it’s such a wonderfully bleak list - complete with false hope and ending in loneliness. Thank you @janicka - sufjan is up next!!!

We used to position bands around other artists: we sound like this band - that band, etc. I think we need to market our new music around specific tracks: this sounds like this track - that track. More focused and emotionally connected connection.
