Watching people chat about potentially inflammatory topics makes it evident that the “institutional inbreeding”, as I like to call it, is working well. People don’t even realize they’ve been programmed to spew certain viewpoints without question. Decades of programming work as intended.

One of my smartass neighbors on our local WhatsApp group started pasting generalized crap from GPT about broadband infra in the UK, trying to prove sth, which was refuted the next minute by another neighbor who’s an actual telecom infra engineer. Sometimes all you need is to grab some popcorn and enjoy the show.

This is the rose-tinted glasses version. The most likely version looks closer to the vision from the movie WALL-E, where everyone is glued to their screens most of the time, instead of making art or handmade goods, while the machines do all the work. We’re already here, just look around you.

looks like my Revv G20 needs to be sent back for tubes replacement under warranty. i love it when manufacturers build their products in a way that is serviceable without voiding warranty Revv actually gives 90-day warranty for tubes alone, in addition to the cover for amps. nice touch
