A small habit/ritual that i developed from living/working with @oconnell that has changed my life drastically is taking 5-10 minutes writing in a notebook like this at the beginning or end of my day It can be about anything, i can feel super sad/angry/mad/anxious, etc, doesn’t really matter as long as i do it Its: 1.) helped me better understand how i feel about something and write it out 2.) helped me find my own opinion on certain things, in a world where we constantly are surrounded/influenced by whats around us I thought it was dumb at first until i started doing it - now i do it all the time, you should too!

A very underrated thing today is the ability for someone to be able to say what they think about something without filter For me personally, one of the first things I do when I meet somebody (when the opportunity arises), is to try to talk about something somewhat controversial (which goes against common opinion, i.e, don't talk about xyz). imo, its a easy way to meet people who are open to different things. I don't need (or want, tbh) you to align with me on every single topic, I just want to be able to discuss it with you. one of the reasons @kazi and I become extremely close friends is because we recognized we were both pretty good at discussing this. @thumb is also very good at this. disagreement isn't the end of the world, in fact, its the start of a new beginning

Moving into my first place in 3 years tomorrow That period of time was a ton of moving around, which I’m glad I did I learned so much about myself - met countless people from random circumstances that I still talk to today, experienced cultures that are way different (I spent major time in 11 different cities), and got to better understand who i am fundamentally as a person Around half way through was very done with it Mostly because the constant moving process made it way harder to focus on myself, which conversely negatively affected every part of my life So when I got the keys to my place it felt like a massive weight was lifted off of my shoulders Anyways, now its time to lock in 🙂

Many a man who is putting a few dollars a week into the bank would do much better to put it into himself” - Henry Ford have been thinking about this quote a lot there is the financial interpretation of this quote: "i should spend $100 more on a apartment that will make me work 10% better" "I should get better clothes that make me feel 20% better about myself, which will make me work 15% better" but also the philosophical interpretation "if i get good grades in school i will get a good job" "if i get a good job i will save money" "if i can save money I can do xyz thing" this promotes a culture of living to work, instead of working to live, which leads us to where we are socially as a world today 🤷‍♂️ (although, you should 100% love what you do)
