We need to create crypto libraries in Swift for Mini Apps and onchain EVM transactions for native integration. Some of it has already been done, e.g. when you create a new account on Uno for Farcaster or import an existing one. Should we open source the libraries? Seems like no one else wants to do it.

Meta is spending a lot of money on individual contributors, but from my experience with the tech today.. they’ve basically are behind by months and heading to a year? They are losing on every front. None of their models are top 30 on LMArena text. And they want to throw more compute at the problem? Not getting it.

How to ask for help. One of the core parts of my job at Spotify/Peloton/early stage startups was knowing how to ask for help. In tech, it is not about being polite; instead, asking for help is about spending social capital to accomplish a very specific mission in a small amount of time. Once I had a team block and deprio my changes for a critical holiday project: 5% of total business and a slew of new markets. Obviously, they were wrong to slow me, so I needed help to break the stalemate. I invited my VP and their team's VP to get coffee and told them "we would be effectively shooting Santa before Christmas." Maybe not that funny reading it over text now, but the message was clear, and by the next morning priorities changed for everyone.

We’re testing notification filters this week. Notifications won’t be pushed if our affinity prediction is too low. e.g. you don’t know the user, the user is likely spammy, their overall engagement is super asymmetrical. For context, this is what life is like without algorithms.

@erica and I use Slack. Resist the urge to add structure/SaaS unless it is absolutely critical to delivery. Move fast, miss some things, etc.

My take after thinking on "Merkle doesn't listen to its users" is that if you put the work into your request, they will help you. Same thing for Base. When we have asked for something, the team has helped/documented/prioritized that thing. Can't think of anything they haven't done for us or outright ignored.
