Thinkin' about foods that taste *incredible* but look *awful*. Case in point: this escargot. I mean… just look at it. Would you eat this??? And yet, absolute perfection. Rich, garlicky, herb-butter magic. I know there are others. What’s your favorite “ugly but delicious” dish?

Thanks again @samantha! Made a miso-braised halibut and Pacific cod last night—your short ribs gave me inspiration. Totally different ingredients, same global comfort food vibe: umami, aromatics, a rich braise, sweet-savory-acid balance. Funny how dishes from different worlds land in the same soulful place.
