We're going to say goodbye to Frames v1 on July 31st.

When we announced miniapps (v2 frames) back in November, we promised to support the old standard for 6 months, to make the transition as smooth as possible. 

Now that time has come. Most people are building and using miniapps which we are excited about, and the old frames are slowly disappearing from the timeline. 

What happens next?
On July 31st, we'll slowly stop rendering frames and cast actions in feed. Both these features are seeing little to no usage. In the coming weeks, we may also make changes to make cast actions less prominent in the UI to make space for some new features we're working on. 

Why is removing frames important?
It's a lot of work to support older standards and slows down the team from shipping things that people want. No new teams are building frames anymore, and existing teams have largely moved over to miniapps.

Goodbye Frames v1, which started it all 🫡

1. Contribute to a protocol to get rewarded through incentives, grants, payments

2. Use the earned income to invest in infinite tokenized assets

Everything runs as a coordination of each other, the alphas only exist in creation, novel combinations and trying new incentive layers

AI can automate #1, but the judgement to identify the type and the direction of the contribution will be what determines the renumeration

I am liking my new token trading strategy:

1. Layer’s TVL is a good starting point in an otherwise uncapped speculation market

2. TVL usually gets dominated by the fundamentals: Lending/borrowing, swaps, staking.

3. Speculative markets, memes, is where the FAFO, short-lived but high volume is. This is a non-performer because of its low hit ratio, so I stick to fundamental protocol token investing. 

4. Then comes the community, a good utility usually drives sensible but non-innovative audience, but you need both diligence and creativity for a network to thrive. The differentiating factor between them is always their talent density. Higher has been pretty dense in this regards.


5. So I start thinking about it in terms of community
