but I think tRPC is overrated.

What will be the future of non-SSO passwordless authentication? Currently I can think of a few: 
- SMS OTP authentication
- TOTP/HOTP Authenticator
- Email OTP or Magic link
- WebAuthn/Keychain
- OAuth 2.0 
- Sign in with Ethereum/crypto wallet 
- Login using passcode/FaceID (mobile app-specific only)
