the night manager is a peak show. I missed it back in 2016 but i’m always on the lookout for these gems. hiddleston and hugh laurie are both so good in that untouchable british kind of way. also to note, they are both fundamentally good. i don’t know yet if Im supposed to dislike laurie as the villain or if he is meant to present a conundrum but he is someone you can’t help but root for as an anti-hero just like in house. compare for example to guy pearce, so essentially villainous it is only by a sorcerous feat of acting could he play the hero (which I don’t think he actually ever has).

https://clarifyclinics.com/ London has a new clinic (founded by Scooter Braun’s extraordinary ex wife) where you can walk in and get your blood cleansed of microplastics — by way of a catheter (? idk i don’t speak medical) inserted into either arm that drains blood from one side and transfuses it back in on the other. You book it like you would a sauna session and pop on in. If someone goes, report back.

I’ve been carting my paperback copy of atlas shrugged around everywhere, and as a result, the cover is worn, pages are waterlogged, and a swath of pages even fell out in the park. so I chased down those pages and used book glue to secure them back into the book, and now they are sturdy again, like the patched bag of a worn traveler, albeit a little rough and uneven. obviously I was not going to trade away the treasure of my notations for a new copy. now the outer dimension of the book is giving the appearance of being uncovered under a pile of rubble… at an abandoned factory... and while I cannot tell you how much this delights me or why I am this way, I can tell you this is who I am.

Initial Atlas Shrugged casting choices: Dagny: Eva Green. Who else? She is likely too old, but everyone else is so far a second we just need to have this moment for it to be her. Reardon: Luke Evans. Hemsworth has the acting chops but he is just too pretty for the grit. Skarsgard would have been excellent on intensity, but otherwise not physically grounded enough. Fassbender if all else fails. D'Arconia: Oscar Isaac. period. shill me your fighting responses, let’s hear it.

the litmus for love is that it is unconditional. it does not mean you choose that person, or have the capacity to broker them in your life. it has little to do with choice. what it does mean is that irrespective of time and space, the illogical affinity of the feeling — which knows only how to play and dance with the heart of the other person — stays the same. should the world implode but you survive to take inventory of what remains you will find it there intact brilliant as the spring day on which it came.

It is impossible to watch more of Tom Hardy’s work and not also become progressively more obsessed with him as an actor. Also by extension as a person, because you can never play what isn’t an extension of some aspect in you. Tom, Dick or Harry, it’s always you.

I have the tea. it’s the same guy as Lindsay and Demi, NY-based. He also did Brad, Christina, and Kristen Wiig. He is one of the only referral based plastics in the game, meaning an existing patient has to refer you. One of the things he is known for is extremely fast recovery time, I knew a normal person who went to him and she was gramming her recovery floored by healing in like 2 weeks. starting cost is about $250K. Page 6 confirmed so it isn’t a secret: Steven Levine. I think you still might be able to get these results for under 80K with a few others who are less famous but there is no denying Levine is the Hollywood hot ticket and can back it up. Young too, maybe 40.

jacob elordi continues to prove himself capable of being a multi-layered psycho // not a hero (george clooney, ryan gosling) not a villain (guy pearce) not quite desperately charismatic enough to be an anti-hero (tom hardy, fassbender, cillian murphy) you can’t ever quite tell where he stands or where you stand in relation to how you feel about him. will be interesting to see how he evolves. btw let’s see who can play them all: christian bale, robert deniro, al pacino, javier bardem, anthony hopkins, russell crowe— very few actors can play a true villain, even fewer who can play anything else.
