5-11-2025 🤺 Craziest thing happened yesterday! I rewatched the parent trap which was my favorite childhood movie and is the inspiration behind my fencing career. I even pierced my ears the same way in 4th grade - to which my mom got pissed and made me close them up 😥 Anyway, the movie was the inspiration for my life. I never noticed this before but the fencing girl in the movie is Marissa Leigh. That is my first and middle name spelled the EXACT. SAME. WAY. Isn’t that an insane coincidence? I also asked ChatGPT how many Marissa Leigh’s there are in the US and it said 1-3 🤯 the odds are so insane.

5-7-2025 🍴 Pectra is officially live 🎉 Happy hard 🍴 day. Today I went on a live-stream, answered a million messages, published a blog post, and met with the team in-person. Just because Pectra is finished doesn't mean we aren't full steam ahead preparing for Fusaka 🚂

To clarify because I got a lot of messages today expressing confusion around 7702 vs. 4337: EIP-7702 only lets you sign with your EOA’s ECDSA key. If you want to use paymasters or an alternative authentication, like a passkey, you need the ERC-4337 model, which allows custom signature schemes to be implemented inside the delegate logic. 7702 only changes execution logic (how the EOA behaves during the transaction), but it doesn’t replace: 1️⃣ Who submits the transaction - With 7702 alone, the EOA still submits the transaction directly onchain and must pay gas in the native token like any regular transaction. 2️⃣ How the transaction is authenticated (still via ECDSA signing) For both of those use cases you need 4337.

Does EIP-7702 replace ERC-4337? Nope. Here’s why 👇 7702 lets your EOA act like a smart wallet and executes batching in the delegate contract. 4337 enables both transaction submission and gas abstraction: - Pay gas in tokens 🪙 - Use passkeys or session keys for authentication🔐 - Benefit from the ERC-4337 mempool for censorship resistance ❌ Use both for full UX.

Pectra is live! 🚀 EIP-7702 lets your EOA act as a smart contract account. If your wallet supports EIP-7702 you can:   ✅ Delegate your EOA to a smart contract temporarily for one transaction. ✅ Batch multiple calls inside that delegate contract → similar to one-click transaction flows without separate approvals. ✅ Skip deploying a smart account up front → delegation works without deployment. BUT: ❌ You cannot pay gas with a paymaster.  ❌ You cannot use passkeys or alternative signatures.  If you want to support gas abstraction via paymasters or alternative authentication methods then you’ll need a relayer or a decentralized network like the ERC-4337 mempool to submit transactions on behalf of the EOA. 7702 doesn’t replace 4337. It’s used alongside it and both together make for a better user experience.

5-5-2025 🤝 Got off like 8 hours of back-to-back meetings today and think I forgot how to walk. I need to sit in silence and grind work tomorrow. Meetings are so distracting and I'm still working on optimizing my flow. What are your meeting tricks for keeping them short and efficient?
