If you like "Murderbot" on Apple TV, you should take a look at the series of books that it is based on: https://www.goodreads.com/series/191900-the-murderbot-diaries. Season 1 is based on the first book in the series, "All Systems Red".

Fellow lawcasters, I have nominated our own @codeofcrypto for the /purple retro pgf round on /octant for all of his hard work building the community on this channel. I would encourage you to like and recast my post at https://farcaster.xyz/skyron.eth/0x829b8a2f, particularly those of you who are members of /purple, since your likes count as votes!

I am nominating @codeofcrypto for his tireless and enthusiastic leadership of the /law-policy channel and the legal community here on Farcaster. Some of his many contributions include: - Bringing "lawcasters" together IRL in multiple cities around the world for roughly a dozen meetups. - Organizing and sponsoring law & policy happy hours at Farcon 2024 and Farcon 2025. - Raising awareness of Farcaster and the law & policy channel at industry events, including arranging for the law & policy channel to sponsor the happy hour at the DC Privacy Summit in October 2024. - Creating and regularly updating a law & policy starter pack (https://farcaster.xyz/codeofcrypto/pack/Law-Policy-8tx6kn) to help onboard new channel members and help them build their network. - And generally looking for ways to connect lawyers, policy-makers, founders, and academics to each other so that we can all build a better regulatory landscape for blockchain and related technologies. #farcasterrpgfspring2025

Farewell Warpcast. I just minted this POAP to mark the end of a chapter in the Farcaster story. Get yours too and support Farcaster. All proceeds from mint go to @purple DAO to support RetroPGF across Farcaster. Thanks @gabo @sandiforward.eth and 👨‍💻 @samuellhuber.eth

Inspired by @stevedylandev.eth's blog post on hosting an Obsidian Digital Garden, I launched my second site on Orbiter today. There is not much there yet, but hopefully this will inspire me to create more long-form content in /obsidian. skyron.orbiter.website

Does private multiplayer Obsidian sound interesting? Thanks to a tip from @wanderloots.eth, I discovered the Relay plugin that allows me to collaborate with others on specific pages in my vault! To keep this private, I then set up my own local relay server. Check out my write-up below if you want to see how it can be done (and get a link to the awesome video by Wanderloots on the Relay plugin): https://skyron.orbiter.website/obsidian-relay-server/

More fun with Bases. You can use a code block to embed them in a normal markdown page! I created this page with two embedded base tables. If I assign a "done" date to a source in the first table, it instantly moves to the second table. How cool is that?

Bases is a great addition to Obsidian. I quickly spun up a new Base to track the articles that I am reading as part of my research. The filtered table views load instantly, and I can edit the data live in the table. This makes tagging and entering dates across multiple pages amazingly simple. I can't wait to see what other views and functionality come to Bases in the future.

Bases is going to garner most of the attention in the new release of Obsidian 1.9, but the new Footnote View is also a great addition. This is going to be super helpful when working on longer texts with lots of references.

My favorite line from this talk by @camilleroux was his answer to a question about the threat that AI poses to generative artists: "What I notice is that a project without explanation is rarely interesting. Collectors will also buy a story, a concept, to see the progression."
