Gifts are meant to be shared. Why is that? There is something about if someone gives you a gift, there is something about passing it forward. It keeps the cycle going but why? My argument is this. The action of giving is more important than the gift it self. Well the content matters too, but the action is what makes it real. And real is rare.

I'm generally against the flattening of human experience. Shattering the nuances of unique experiences is often the precursor to making way for that insatiable hunger for efficiency that rolls over and paves what is most human in us all But it doesn’t have to be this way

This is from Baudrillard’s Fatal strategies Specifically - how sexuality is so reproduced, commodified and over sold, over pushed that - by the moment of actual sexuality arrives, the anticipation is gone - there’s nothing to anticipate and therefore desire, and Eros are dead on arrival

The natural evolution of gamification is enshittification in the similar to the way that the natural consequence of industrialization was pollution. If you open up your intention to fully excavate value out of the value chain without understanding the full value chain of the system that you’re a part of it, the natural evolution is total and utter extraction until the system itself collapses Cancer cells are another good example of this

I used to go surf as the sun was setting when I was younger - and I’d get so angry on my drive there, thinking I only have 45 mins - and while I was surfing I’d be so miserable Recently I realized sometime ago - that I don’t do this anymore. Is it a willingness more to get in the water because I want to even if the circumstances and conditions aren’t great? I don’t know what’s changed but
