The Red Sox unveiled their City Connect units today. I was unaware of the green heritage (related to Irish green? Fenway?) but these tops are outstanding. 

The whole thing is super clean. Something like a retro 70s font style. I would have liked to see some non-white pants to make it feel a bit more cohesive. 

Above it all, that b-circle logo on the white hat is the star of the show. Imagine that logo on the left chest of a white button-up top. Instant classic.

Loving this City kit for next season.  Simple and stylish. 8/10

The sash through the badge is a nice touch with a hint of royalty (a bit much for City after this year 😏). Glad they kept the clean light blue field. Not sure about those socks though…that black strip at the top and the logo on the shin are trying a bit too hard.

Yeah, that was nice. Short but sweet. 

As I was writing, I realized some similarities between rally racing and mountain biking that I enjoy about both: 
→ every trail is different
→ there’s often a mix of technical, speed, and flow
→ you’re going fast, but not so fast that you can’t account for the unknown that lies ahead
→ you ride the edge of chaos and danger, only occasionally knowing how close you are(and sometimes finding out the hard way) 
→ you have to solve unexpected problems on the fly
→ you can’t worry about solving them perfectly, but just well enough to keep going; don’t oversolve it
→ you can’t ruminate on the last section; focus on what lies ahead

Summers are usually rough schedule-wise: everyone in the house stays up late & sleeps in — I stay up late & wake up early. 

Tonight’s ride has got me thinking about riding in the mornings though…
