Many such cases. Like any new technology, lack of awareness and misinformation are the two biggest obstacles to overcome. Given how vast and specific ai can be, it really starts with making people aware of how it can serve their specific use cases.

One thing is becoming very clear. The intentions the Merkle team has around Farcaster pro are at odds with the people and bots that inhabit it. Any grand narrative is disrupted by a coin launch, which appeals to established onchain habits. You paid for a Farcaster pro subscription, but you also inadvertently signed up to be spammed with a new wave of 💩 coins. Grifters will rug noobs under the guise of community, governance and self serving altruism and the cycle will perpetuate itself. This is less of a judgement than it is a sober realization. The true currency here is the people we meet and interact with. You want to support the network? Tip in one of the several ways this places has made it easy to do so...or don't and just enjoy the drama and the vibes.

In a way, mini apps have made the 10k pro cast option obsolete. Specifically the @paragraph mini app, since you can just read something of that length while scrolling the timeline. Wouldn't be surprised if other newsletter/blog apps do this as things grow. The benefit being that people can access long form writing outside of here, but still have it connected to accounts, which ultimately is a better way to surface and find long form writing. If Twitter didn't drop the ball with Revue, the newsletter platform they purchased pre Elon, they too could have refined this and made it a standard. Their loss is Merkle's gain here.

Every competitive tech market has been through this kind of dick measuring contest. Eventually it gets to the point where it's just diminishing returns with these stats. In the end these charts appeal mainly to enthusiasts and investors. With the exception of certain use cases, the general public won't notice the incremental difference in their daily usage.

YB has a knack for tapping into the hive mind and formulating ideas I've been thinking about before I get a chance to write them. This latest article is exactly where I'm at. I already have a system for capturing various things I come across around the web, but turning those captured ideas into a newsletter is exactly the next step for me.

If I'm overseeing a project with vibe coders then I'm making sure their set up is primed for debugging from the start. That means configuring their AI IDE with Task Master or Boomerang tasks. https://youtu.be/1L509JK8p1I

It's thinking like this that gives Bluesky the competitive edge for brands to invest their time in long term. Farcaster had the right idea with channels, but since they dropped support to improve them they sadly now sit in this limbo state. It all leads to unnecessary confusion and friction for those who want to plant a flag here and engage with this ecosystem. Having said that, the Merkle team changes things up every few weeks around here, so maybe they're re-evaluating how they approach brands outside of an airdrop first perspective 🤷‍♂️
