So turns out “the smart home” is just a bunch of simple wall plugs with dumb devices plugged into them.

I built a bunch of wifi sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, power consumption, etc., then added automations to act on the data. Some of it is silly, but some is quite useful.

If the function is just on/off then yes
But you can also program or voice control:
- temperature
- colors
- brightness
- volume
- content
