Has anyone actually used crypto for large international money transfers? I still find Wise to be cheaper and easier to move fiat to fiat; using crypto as the medium introduces too much exchange spread.

too much exchange spread for assets like USDC? usually stablecoins have no fee to purchase and sending is pretty much free if using L2s
