Love the perspective. There is no secret recipe but felt the same things when I read Lenny's article on it. Seems like a lot of YC advice still sounds very sensible but might be a bit outdated. That being said, it is even more secure and better if you can validate and sell before hand

Not successfully. I struggle with selling something that doesn't exist. I like marketing things that people can immediately use but I break down a little when I have to pre-sell something.

its hard because in many case that is considered a scam. there is a line somewhere in fake-it till you make it/ experimentation VS. downright selling non-existent product
