“Kuande Investments’ CEO, Feng Xin and Xu Yuzhi, used brain-machine weapons to persecute all current and former company employees—even they themselves were controlled.”

airdrops are gamed and fairly criticized.
but nothing new.
in 1711 king george I of England was effectively "airdropped" south sea company stock during the south sea bubble.
established with the intent of managing and consolidating the national debt of britain by offering stock in exchange for government debt.
part of the scheme to promote the company's success and attract investment, directors granted significant amounts of stock to influential figures, including the king and other members of the royal family.
the stock was granted to him without any requirement to pay for it, which resembles a modern "airdrop" in the sense that it was a free allocation intended to influence or reward him.
