Pileus Cloud cap clouds are so unique
Created when strong updrafts force moist air upward, it acts as a "cap" over top of the crunchy cumulus clouds and indicates, often within minutes, that severe weather or thunderstorms may be developing.
They are different than the frayed and feathered looking clouds across the top of storms that are dissipating.

Before I say goodnight I found our X - Periscope live steaming video I saved and converted to a MP4 I shared the tornado photo this morning.
I had to really shorten the stream video down to 30 secs from 6 minutes.
You can hear me talking to the ppl in the chat and describing what we are looking at. It’s funny to listen to yourself speak 😂😂😂
The radar map with the tornado signature up the road from where I show we are.
The two lowering the one closest to us is where the tornado signature is.
The lowering to the left is the one that did produce the tornado that I shared the photo of this morning
The the line of storm chasers fleeing the storm to get a better eye on it that’s called a chaser convergence
Beautiful lightning bolt that snuck in the photo at the very end.

It was an early morning this morning. My storm chase began at 2:30am and I was home about 5:00am. Then out the door for an afternoon chase at 12:30pm and was home at 6:00pm.
I’m getting toooo old for this! 😂😂😂
One ⚡️ photo from last night with lightning and a nighttime shelf cloud and the second was taken as I arrived home driving down our street with the trees greening up all of a sudden. I call this green day.

Such a wide and long swap of extreme weather possible to this afternoon and tonight for those in the US and us here in Canada. Take care of everyone make sure you have a way of having weather alerts delivered to you in the event that there is extreme weather and have a weather plan

Well today we went from having a coolish spring to summer. 28°C and with the humidity building it feels like 29. Crazy weather! I even put shorts on to show off my winter white legs. 😂😂😂
I can imagine the leaves on the trees yelling - woo hoo!!!! 🙌 let’s goooo!
