Just played Star Citizen in VR for the first time! It was surreal. Clicked a button in the menu and suddenly... I was IN the game. The sense of scale was absolutely incredible, I wanted to reach out and touch everything! Played extremely well on my 5800X3D + Radeon 7900 GRE. Smooth AF. Was using a borrowed Quest 2 headset, which I have major gripes with. Heavily leaning towards getting a Steam Frame asap.

So I’ve been running missions in Pyro for the HeadHunters. They’re not nice people, but nobody in Pyro is. There’s a group we’re fighting that have taken to effectively snail-mailing data pads around, in an effort to hide communications. And so the routine is, knock on the door, say hi with gunfire, collect data pad. Well, the last mission I went to do went off the rails. It was supposed to be routine, but it was immediately apparent it was not. First, there was an AA turret guarding the base, which was unusual. It shot an org mate down on the way in. We had to regroup. Second try, we go in with a ground vehicle assault. This should have worked spectacularly, but they were holed up on the roof and the place is built like a fortress. We pick some off and move in. As I’m halfway up the ladder to the roof, I see overhead two Cutlasses sweep in with enemy reinforcements!And when I get to the up of the ladder now I realize, I’m separated from everyone - and facing down 4 enemies! I started throwing grenades and firing, and as I’m running for cover up top I see a squad unloading from each Cutlass down below. 🫣 We made it out of that mess somehow. I’m almost in shock, it was such a crazy departure from the other missions I didn’t expect any of that!
