Love this initiative from Obol. While building Smoothly, I struggled to find public goods funding. This is a much needed resource and something that I'll definitely be involved with. Providing incentives to build decentralized staking infrastructure is a no brainer.

Gas is down bad, which has cratered execution layer rewards for validators. But, there is still 24 hours left to join Smoothly and get a share of the /base donations in the smoothing pool! Over 10E to be split between the subscribers this cycle! Feeling based 🔵

The new Heroglyphs protocol is intriguing - solo stakers get to mine new tokens as a reward using encoded graffitis.
Not clear if it will work with Smoothly though. Solo stakers with a smart contract withdrawal address are disqualified, not sure about the block rewards address

With news of the MaxEB change in Pectra, what will be the implications for a multinode operator in the Smoothly pool?
Will the bond of .5 ETH remain for a validator regardless of its balance?
I imagine multiple nodes will need to exit the pool, consolidate their EB, and then reenter the pool

I have no affiliation with /smoothly but I want to acknowledge @kody.eth and team for successfully bringing to life a decentralized smoothing pool for solo stakers.
With nearly 100 validators signed up in just a few weeks, it’s a major achievement, and one that is maximally aligned with the Ethereum ethos
