Big Skatehive update just dropped 🚀
What shipped:
- Upload fixes (images + videos)
- Edit & delete posts in the feed
- GOAT posts → highest-paid posts ever
- Cleaner voting UI
- ETH wallet balance fixes
- Better notifications page
- Multi-language support (AI-assisted for now)
- Sound FX (clicks, menu hover, matrix effect — can be disabled)
- Language switcher in settings
- Improved invite page
- New TestFlight build for mobile testers with better UI
We’re also pushing improvements on Hive wallet features and experimenting with new UI vibes.
As always: ship → test → iterate.

The Skatehive Devs Manifesto
- We are Skatehive Devs.
A loose crew of skate hackers, builders, artists, and internet mechanics.
We didn’t come from accelerators, VC decks, or corporate roadmaps.
We came from the streets, forums, IRCs, broken APIs, open repos, and late-night commits.
We build because we *need* to build.
- Who we are
We skate.
We code.
We break things to understand them, then rebuild them better.
We created Skatehive, Gnars, and other tools not as products, but as **infrastructure for culture**.
Things people can fork, remix, abuse, and extend without asking permission.
No founders on pedestals.
No single owner.
No brand without a backbone.
### What we believe
* The internet is a public space, not a shopping mall.
* Culture should not be trapped behind algorithms, ads, or platform risk.
* Creators deserve durability, not dependency.
* Open systems outlive closed empires.
* If it can’t be forked, it’s already dying.
We believe decentralization is not a buzzword — it’s a survival strategy.
### How we build
We ship early.
We refactor in public.
We learn by doing and fix things as they break.
We prefer:
* Open source over polished secrecy
* Protocols over platforms
* Composability over control
* Community governance over corporate terms of service
We don’t wait for permission.
We don’t ask for validation.
We just push.
### What we fight
We grind the internet by:
* Breaking extractive systems
* Exposing fragile monopolies
* Replacing evil abstractions with honest ones
* Turning “users” back into owners
We are not anti-tech.
We are anti-capture.
When platforms exploit creators, we route around them.
When media becomes gated, we publish anyway.
When systems fail, we fork and continue.
### Our code is political
Every line of code encodes values.
We choose:
* Transparency over manipulation
* Resilience over growth hacks
* Community memory over engagement metrics
Skatehive isn’t just software.
Gnars isn’t just a DAO.
They are proofs that culture can own its tools.
### No finish line
There is no final version.
No exit.
No “done.”
Just constant motion:
Build → Break → Learn → Ship → Repeat
Like skateboarding.
