So, I’m diving into all that Latinoamérica has to offer—from iconic spots to those hidden gems. You’ll get the real talk on where to go and what to skip. It’s all about sharing the highs and lows with you. 🔥 (In case you find something odd, my travel bot is still being trained...) This is also a good opportunity for those that have visited those spots to give their tips/for those that want to visit to ask questions.

I'm traveling, by car, in a week. This is how I plan: 1st: 2 weeks before, I take my car to the mechanics. Tires, brakes, oil and suspension needs to be checked out. I also use Water Off in case it rains. 2nd: 1 week before, I choose all the clothes I'm taking. I do it early because I do have favorite clothes and I want them to be clean by the time I'm packing. If I need to wash them, they'll have time to dry (brazilian clothes are not suited for dryers, they need wind and sun) 3rd: We plan what we're taking for food. As we are women I don't feel safe stopping anywhere to eat and/or leaving my car parked where I can't see it, this specific route has few places to stop and we might need to wait 150km between them. 4th: Plan all the work I need to get done in the next 5 days. I can work from wherever I am, but I don't like to feel pressed. +

One of the techniques I studied in travel courses is finding good "opening doors" near your destination. For example, leaving from São Paulo to Rome can easily cost me $1200. But, making São Paulo to Lisbon and Lisbon to Rome can cost me $600.

We are used to traveling with the cats. They both adapt real fast to wherever we are, so they’re ok with road-trips. However, we tend to leave them without food for 3-4 hours before we leave, put them in their litter box before leaving and using impermeable sheets on the car seat. Anything missed from this list will end up in a disaster. Traveling with dogs is much more easier.

My med kit when I travel: > Dipirone or flanax: For general pain and low fevers > Anti-hystaminic: I'm very allergic and you never know. I prefer 2nd generation ones. > Domperidone: for digestion > Lactase: I'm lactose intolerant > Omeprazole > Colirium > Tweezers (yes, part of my med kit) > Band Aid > Vonau (brazilian medicine made for nausea, works fast and does not make you sleepy) I have most of those in my car as well.

When coming to Brazil, I strongly advise women alone to not go to any “balada”, and if they do, don’t accept drinks from anyone or go to separate spaces. Even us brazilians walk in group.

This is a question rather than a cast: How much do you think a couple spends, per day, in a)miami b) LA c) NYC Consider just food + transportation + tourism stuff.

Basic traveling in São Paulo: There's two airports and they're separated by, at least, 1h30 of traffic (if you're lucky). B is the international Guarulhos Airport, A is Congonhas airport. Congonhas is about 20 min of nice places in São Paulo, the airport is small and flights are domestic until 2028. This does not mean you won't get there coming from foreign countries, but the flight will stop somewhere else first so you can change the aircraft. Guarulhos is the big one everyone gets lost. 3 terminals, 2 connected internally and one only reachable by bus, can be reached by train from the Barra Funda station (it's actually fast, cheap and safe, costs $0.9) but a drug traffic route so be careful with bags. Sometimes when you catch a domestic flight here, there will be a sign of "airport change". Avoid these at all costs!! The risk of getting late and losing the flight is high, unless there's 4 or more hours between them

Sucre has one of the best chocolate factories in the world: “Para Ti”. I never ate chocolate the same way. The bolivian cocoa is special. Favorite flavor: ají 🌶️ and quinoa. They also have peach, peanut, orange, pistachio, amaranth and coca leaves.
