You know what’s boring at first then fascinating when you understand how it works?
Post trade settlement using transfer agents infra (cap tables) and how that’s super important for full stack onchain capital market infra (no kids, pure AMMs just *won’t* do cause limit and market orders are super important; records of ownership too, and stock retractions and 409A valuations).
What else you ask? Lend me your ear.
FIX protocol that runs pre/post-trading messages in capital markets and ITCH protocol that does the same but very, very quickly (for high frequency trading).
And also (and stay with me here) *how actual financial assets work and why they work that way*. Boring things like PPMs, risk assessments, term sheets, rates of default, volatility, capitalisation.
All of this, if you have the natural inclination and a healthy amount of intellectual curiously, it’s all first boring and then fascinating.
Become fascinated. You’ll build the future that way.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
