Over centuries, trade was done on stone tablets, then paper, then computers, then computers that are online. Now trade is onchain. Blockchains aren’t databases, they’re programs with self-executing code, and payments that are built in to the value exchange layer. Why tokenized RWAs, finance, and trade? Because wealthy merchants adapt to use the latest technologies. Don’t overthink it. Use the best tech to access global markets, not your local ones.

Soon /nest vaults come to Solana with that sweet real world yield. Institutional assets pay anyone with a wallet. Stables in, stables out. We believed in user access and chains that play nicely together. Solana 🤝 Plume cook isn’t that right @stoic https://x.com/solana/status/1997016909381095612?s=46

It will take more than one crypto cycle to bring all of finance onchain. Many builders I know have been in tokenized infra and RWAs for years, shipping pieces of the entire capital market stack. One at a time, then all at once finance will be onchain. Nay sayers, sceptics, critics will be proven wrong. Not that some criticism wasn’t valid or constructive. Onchain capital markets will outperform their TradFi counterparts. It’s not about replacing TradFi (never has been) it’s about *upgrading* it. “Tokenize everything” can sound like a tired slogan to the observer BUT software ate the world, and every device you own is online.

I think for a new chain (~2 yrs building; our main launched Jun 5th) we’ve been pinching above our weight category. RWA-focused startups and protocols had the opportunity to join our accelerator (Ascend). First demo day was today. Go check it out https://x.com/plumenetwork/status/1993786854911717668?s=46

We submitted a comment letter to CFTC to promote safe DeFi leverage. Since we specialise in RWAs, we focused mainly on that. Think of it as “RWA looping”. Go check out this thread https://x.com/banamlas/status/1993688023322558844?s=46

Some problems/opportunities (capital markets and RWA specific) - trading - be fast, accurate, global by default (precision is important) - ownership changes - be correct on commercial transactions laws, undo wrong things (flexibility and regulations are important) - privacy - be selective with disclosure; prove existence of confidential facts without revealing them (trade secrets are important)

You know what’s boring at first then fascinating when you understand how it works? Post trade settlement using transfer agents infra (cap tables) and how that’s super important for full stack onchain capital market infra (no kids, pure AMMs just *won’t* do cause limit and market orders are super important; records of ownership too, and stock retractions and 409A valuations). What else you ask? Lend me your ear. FIX protocol that runs pre/post-trading messages in capital markets and ITCH protocol that does the same but very, very quickly (for high frequency trading). And also (and stay with me here) *how actual financial assets work and why they work that way*. Boring things like PPMs, risk assessments, term sheets, rates of default, volatility, capitalisation. All of this, if you have the natural inclination and a healthy amount of intellectual curiously, it’s all first boring and then fascinating. Become fascinated. You’ll build the future that way. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

On looping RWAs from our head of protocol BD (Looping is borrowing against it and buying the same or other RWA assets and doing it multiple times). https://x.com/menciusxbt/status/1989011969719038249?s=46
