Bringing you some numbers.
During the Runes are dead era (until early September), Runes had roughly ~800K-1M in daily volume (on-chain). It took only an increase of 3-5x in daily volume to send some of the leaders 5-10x in market cap during this last month.
Some perspective: the numbers on Ordinals volume were almost exactly the same on almost exactly the same dates of 2023. During the last months of 2023 and the first Q of 2024, the volume increased to sustained 20M-40M daily volumes.
The effect of those volumes on Runes will lead to several Runes achieving 1B and going beyond.

Runes protocol launch ended up as a "sell-the-news" event.
But the Runes community is still strong and BTCFi protocol teams continue to build.
I believe a small spark is needed to ignite the Runes hype fire again. A few possible catalysts ahead:

Just encountered this.
For Xverse users who have bought any Runes coins on Unisat, ur runes purchase will be in ur BTC address instead of ur taproot address. (Can check on ordiscan)
To resolve this, u will have to import ur xverse to the unisat wallet and make a transfer to your taproot address.
