Every product has 1,000+ "minor" decisions worth ~0.1% each. Most miss them. Some see them and still don't care. ngmi.

Easing back into the new year by picking back up some deeper design system work.
Here, my goal is to turn the collection of assets (bottom layer) into a consolidated set of components. Three, to be exact: Dialogues, Forms, and Cards.
Taking reference from Material, Safe, and a few other design systems, we are establishing a UX pattern for the Dialogues and Forms where they appear as modals on desktop and drawers on mobile.

Chris Hemsworth’s fitness app Centr just had a major design update and visual refresh. They’ve done good work making exercise and healthy, actives practices tailor-fit. The app has new tags and categories for activities that it recommends based on personal goals. They also improved the interactions to add energetic, focused motion into the experience.
I’ve enjoyed its fitness content since the COVID-19 pandemic started. It feels like a more enjoyable package now that they’re investing a lot of effort into design—deeper than visual polish.
