Super excited to announce server functions for Orbiter! You can now build fullstack applications with Orbiter. Every function is tied to a site. We've made it simple to add a function and env variables through the UI or you can streamline things with our SDK. We are officially supporting bhvr as the preferred stack. Check it out now! Available for paid plan customers, starting at $7/month https://docs.orbiter.host/functions

I don't care if I never make another dollar from Orbiter. My son has started building his own stuff without my help and he's been using Orbiter to host it. That's real success.

We’ve been experimenting with a newsletter called The Orbit: a small weekly collection of things we’re working on but mostly cool things we’ve found throughout the week that promote an open web. It’s lowkey probably our favorite thing we’re done marketing wise in a long time! Here’s today’s issue and at the bottom you can sign up to get it when it’s published 🌌 https://orbiter.host/blog/the-orbit-issue-3?cachebust=true

Did you know you can have a Next.js like experience with bhvr and Orbiter? - Same domain API routes - Deploy the whole app (client and server) in one command Check out this quick video demo on how it works! https://youtu.be/YWlXcZlqrfA?si=KCilzWpYU1Ijrcpp

Big thanks to @jpfraneto.eth for being the first to experiment migrating to Orbiter's new custom domain infrastructure. Steve and I had tested on our own domains, but JP was the first paying customer to try it with one of his sites.

Fun fact: we have this built into Orbiter! Simply deploy your site, link your ENS, and we handle the rest 😎 Anytime you update your site we automatically handle the updates with ENS and IPFS; more info in the video below! 👇🏻 https://youtu.be/RSgahp1P-70?si=aQw7pzEPRqN3b80i

This is basically an advertisement for Orbiter. You can get this kind of discount by using Orbiter directly without any additional proxy. https://x.com/siddsax/status/1945152924352500070?s=46

Marketing sites are had, so we just used our docs site ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Introducing the new orbiter.host! Thanks to Vocs we were able to merge our marketing site into our existing docs site, providing a seamless experience between all our content. Love that we can worry less about maintaining a separate marketing site and focus on content and building 🫡 Check it out and let us know what you think!

For anyone *paying* Vercel, I’d love to see what your project(s) are and show you how you might be able to convert to Orbiter (were full stack now!) and possibly save money.
