Our neighbors across the street have two GIANT dogs that they keep caged up outside year round.
Mind you, we live in southern Arizona and highs reach around 115-120 out here in the summer—they live through all of that with nothing but a tarp over the cage to create some shade. (Fun fact, in AZ, as long as the animal has shelter, food, & water, animal control/the police can’t do anything bc they’re technically cared for.)
Of course they are constantly efforting to escape and often do—we hear the neighbors yelling and see the dogs trotting up the walkway by our house often, ignoring their calls.
Today I got home from work and was in my kitchen when I heard screaming across the street. I figured it was them chasing after the dog again, but then a man started screaming, and the women’s screams got louder and more panicked. I come outside to see one of the dogs mauling the man’s leg while the three women are hitting the dog, pulling it, trying everything to get it to release his grip on the mans leg.
