The rich are getting richer faster than ever:
Since the first quarter of 2020, the total net worth of US households 🇺🇸 has increased by about $56 trillion, reaching a record $160 trillion by the third quarter of 2024.
- The top 10% now own $111 trillion, or 69% of the total.
- The top 0.1% alone own $22 trillion, or 14% of the total household net worth.
- Meanwhile, the bottom 50% own just $3.9 trillion, or 2.4% of the total.
