After canvassing the neighborhood for footy of the moto thieves, we got eyes. Two businesses responded immediately and took the time to look at the footage on the spot, one netting results. I trust the one that didn’t find anything was being truthful about viewing it. Hard to say.
A few new businesses I visited this morning offered to take my information, pass it along to the right person, and have them follow up. I didn’t hear back, so I revisited the businesses and got the same response to try tomorrow.
A few more businesses went through this infinite loop of "we don’t have cameras," "well, we do but it doesn’t show what you want," "well, it’ll show what you want but we can’t grab it," "well, we can grab it but the guy will be back later," "well, he won’t be back, try tomorrow." If they say the guy will be back and you say you’ll wait for him and ask the other employees where "he" is…they don’t like that.
8 flat out told me nothing we can do or will do for you- I respect that.
Things that moved the needle: a clear yes, or a clear no. The maybes were a waste of time.
The bike was found because the cops who responded said, "Get in the car, let’s go look for it." The guy who found the clips just stopped and did what he said he would/could do. Big shoutout to Lenoir.
This is a lesson in b2b SaaS sales.
