🧵 on milk.fun 1/3 I started working on milk.fun with @nemofish.eth over a year ago. It began with the idea that users submit millions of transactions every day and burn millions of dollars in gas fees whether to make money or just for fun. We asked ourselves: how can we optimize this behavior so that ordinary actions generate a public good? Our answer was to embed a small chunk of data into each user transaction, so that users collectively upload data to the blockchain while they play an onchain game. Now that launch is just around the corner (we launch in September), I’d like to share a bit more about it. Hope you enjoy. And don’t hesitate to ask questions! The game will launch on Base: you mint two NFTs — Pet and Planet. The mint cost is paid in $MILK, but calculated in USD via the oracle. Rarity and parameters drop randomly. A Pet+Planet pair unlocks access to daily mining.

this experiment wasn’t feasible before due to low network throughput. but in 2025, EVM chains are stronger than ever. So this is the right moment to launch it.
