What *is* a romance anime? My husband asked me what my favorite ones have been. Initially, I was thinking it had to be a story in which the romance is essential for the plot (Horimiya, Love is Hard for Otaku, Toradora...). I wouldn't consider Apothecary Diaries romance. But is Edgerunners? My Dress-Up Darling?

Finished this one tonite. I quite enjoyed it, but I am a sucker for coming-of-age media. It falls into the classic trap of teenagers who are way more emotionally aware than is realistic but also it’s funny seeing them constantly second-guess themselves.
