Today I learned that one of my favorite act of the 80s Japanese synthpop scene known as Testpattern, had a x2LP full of unreleased stuff released 2 months ago. A true treasure grove for any proto-electronic, synthpop fan out there.

Sharing some music from Natsu Summer's latest album. The album is produced by Cunimondo Takiguchi, also behind the band "Ryusenkei", famous for giving a second life to City Pop music in Japan in the 2010s. This track in particular is a really sweet Lover's Rock type of beat, perfect for summer season!

The unexpected collaboration between Akiko Yano, one the best songwriter in the history of modern Japanese music, and Rei Harakami, a genius electronic music producer who died prematurely in 2011.
They've worked on two albums, and this song, "David", originally published on one of Akiko Yano's album in the 80s, is a re-interpretation made in 2007.
