@lovejoy
let's talk!
as we're making /honk game and slowly getting to a full-fledged v1, been thinking:
we (me and @lifeisatape.eth) deliberately avoided tokens from the start - didn't want to build another "weekend mini-app, extract value, move on" thing. now even Claude suggests launching a token, heh.
our bet instead:
- gameplay first - mechanics should make the game fun, not create economic simulation on top;
- build with people who actually enjoy playing, not just hold/farm;
- monetization through things that reward playing - cosmetics, supporter perks, stuff that doesn't break game balance.
we know it's slower. we just want to build sth that lasts.
so real question is: what monetization models or approaches in long-term games on fc/base do you consider healthy and sustainable? what creates real value for both players and builders in the long run?
if you're building games the same way - let's talk. if you think we're coping - also be honest. real talk appreciated!
